I haven’t tried new skincare for quite some time. Partly because for a while, I was taking a minimalist approach to my skincare routine. This was because my skin was breaking out for months and I had absolutely no idea why. Man! I hate adult acne! I tried everything I possible could but it just didn’t help. So I thought maybe cutting down drastically on the products I was using would help calm my skin, but it didn’t.
After a while, I was getting bored of the mundane processes of my everyday skincare routine so I finally decided to switch things up. While browsing Sephora.com, I found a Drunk Elephant trio that was very highly rated so I bought it on a whim. I did not have high hopes for these products because nothing had worked for months. I haven’t written a beauty post in a loooooong time! So I thought I should start with my PM skincare routine. Over the past few months, I have been finishing all the products that I was using previously, so I had nothing new to report. However, now that a lot of my skincare has run out, I can play with new products! Woohoo! Do you guys ever get excited about trying out new products after using the same ones for months? I do! So lets talk new skincare shall we? View Post
Over the past two months, I vacationed in the Bahamas and Bermuda which inspired me to create a travel series for this blog and my YouTube channel. For the longest time, I was taking a massive makeup bag with me because I didn’t have the courage to downsize my makeup. I always wanted to carry a lot of makeup, just ‘incase’ I needed it or to create different looks for different outfits. However, this time, I really wanted to challenge myself by taking just one small makeup bag with me because I wanted to travel as light as possible. Curating this makeup bag didn’t come easy. I was forced to really think about what I absolutely couldn’t live without and which products could be used for multiple purposes (yes, I had to leave my favorite bronzer behind because it just wouldn’t fit and no, I didn’t miss it as much as I thought I would).
What came out of this little experiment, was a small makeup collection that didn’t overwhelm me and one that I absolutely enjoyed having with me on vacation. To be honest with you, a tiny makeup stash was quite refreshing and made me appreciate the beauty of minimalism. I was forced to create different looks with the little makeup I had and I loved every bit of it! So much so that I’ve now decided to create a capsule collection of makeup, just as I do for clothes every season. So without further adieu, here’s what’s in my travel makeup bag. View Post
Happy Humpday! By the time you are reading this post, I will be on my way to sunny Bermuda! If you want to see what I’ll be doing on my vacation, be sure to follow me on Instagram and Snapchat. While I was preparing to go on vacation, I was feeling spendy and decided to treat myself to some new makeup. I had been eyeing Tom Ford makeup for a while and decided it was time to add some to my collection!
Over the weekend, I attended a friend’s bachelorette party. I filmed myself getting ready so you can see how I did my makeup and what I wore. Get ready with me videos are one of my absolute favorites to watch on Youtube. They are also one of my favorites to film. I hope this video gives you some inspiration on party outfits and makeup. You can also easily wear this look for a date night or for clubbing.
The bachelorette wanted us to wear LBD’s so I decided to wear a little black dress with silver and gold metallic sequins. I paired the dress with metallic pumps and carried my trusty Fendi bag, which, if you’ve been following me for a while, you’ve seen me wear a million times!! Click that play button and see how I got ready for the bachelorette party! View Post
